It would be hard to convict someone on a couple of examples of circumstantial evidence. But, in this case, they could throw out a 100 of the examples and still not be left with reasonable doubt.

I would submit that this jury was too tired and worn out serving on that sequestered jury for 6 weeks to spend the time to fully examine the evidence. They just wanted to put an end to it and took the quick and easy way out.

exactly.. i was listening to an interview of Juror 14 (2nd alternate). Asked about Casey partying for a month (it doesnt look good, but doesnt prove anything). they basically said not guilty because of three things: 1) no exact cause of death (because casey through the body in the woods and there were only bones left) 2) no time of death (also because of casey's doing) and 3) they didnt believe George, therefor giving credibility to Casey's ridiculous defense of drowning and molestation, neither of which were supported by a SHRED of real or circumstencial (sp?) evidence.

Basically, the jury rejected the circumstencial evidence, even though it overwhelmed them to a point where I couldnt see them letting her off. the jury was filled with by the book morons.
