Thanks Steve. I was too young for the '68 Series, (I had to stay with my Grandmother while the rest of my family went to a game), but the 1984 season was magical.
I always thought my Dad hated Sparky Anderson, but I called him the other day to talk about something else and most of the conversation was based around stupid moves by Jim Leyland and how he doesn't care what Leyland's record is, he has lost it and has to go. So, it wasn't a hatred of Sparky, my Dad's hatred for Tigers managers knows no bounds.
