I've always thought that it wasn't handicappers adapting to tracks, as much as it was specific tracks playing into ones innate skills as a handicapper. In other words, we all look at races a certain way. Some tracks play into our skill set and give us success, some don't and break us. When I say "tracks", I mean the physical track and of course the usual horse/trainer population.
