Well, the sky has been falling for quite some time, funny how nobody notices until it's election time! The Iraqi war, which I agree is a horrible mess, has visited pain and suffering on a people who didn't deserve it...a crime, you bet! All war is a crime against humanity! But the issues that plague this country...racism, a deepening socio-economic caste system, drugs, crime, lack of respect for life, and a blatant self-absorbed selfish nature didn't arise the day we entered Iraq...they've been festering for decades...but I agree, as a guy who loves watching chickens myself...they do always come home to roost! The political parties are a cruel joke as are elections...would Gore have been better? Kerry? Hell no!! We need radical change in the politics of greed and self-perpetuation...a good start would be to defeat EVERY incumbent in the upcoming election! Throw the bums out and start over with folks who would understand that longevity is tied to performance not special interest money! But that won't happen...I often say we don't get more great horses cause we don't deserve them, well...same with government! More people voted for American Idol than vote for President! Most folks can't name their Senators let alone their Congressmen and try finding someone who can name Supreme Court Justices! The public sits back and complains but does nothing as the rich get obscenely richer, the poor get hopelessly poorer and the middle class is attacked daily! Experts have shown that a grade school kid can fix the new voting machines with a common key and a simple virus...opening up the possibility for voter fraud on a scale worthy of Cuban "elections", yet nothing is done as the election approaches...we are a nation of sheep! Baa Baa...vote Republican/Democrat and spew the party talking points! It's not George Bush's fault we have a royal clusterf-uck on our hands, it's our's!
