I would wager that there is a very strong connection between debuting high BSF's and graded winners, otherwise people wouldnt rush to Calder or Thistledowns etc. to grab up any Mdn Spl winners that runs an 80plus fig.
There was this trainer named Frankel who prospected the nations to bit tracks buying up debut winners with big BSF's. Frankel realized that if they ran fast once they would most likely run fast again. So he bought these types for Mr Gann and they had a wonder results.
