There is no public option or single payer in the bill. Why do you think the left was so upset at Obama over that? Have you read even the basic summary of it? You'd know that to be true.

The majority of Americans are quite in favor of this at this point (check the polls), and no, doubtful it could ever get repealed, even if a GOP President were to get in during 2012 (as America will not give up the good things in the bill they are already receiving). Yes it could (and probably will) be amended over time. It can certainly be made stronger, better.

Two judges voted it constitutional, two now have not, and 14 have said the case had no merit and refused to hear it. 16 to 2 so far. Implementation of the bill will go forward, and the Supreme Court will get it eventually.
