People who didn't bow at the altar before the BCC were automatically labeled "haters," no matter how much thought they put into explaining why they weren't totally convinced. Much focus was put on his beautiful action and fluid movement as a reason to be forced to agree that he was "great," rather than his races themselves.
Sounds awfully familiar, and the most recent time that a racehorse seems to have spawned legions of obnoxious fawning fans whose ability to have a rational conversation somehow always ended the moment his name showed up in a post.
