Its a good group of guys who run IEAH. Mike Iavarone is a young guy, about 36, and Mike Sherack is even younger. They aren't dummies, far from it. I'm sure they realize that the horse is going to be a very long price.
But the horse is already in Kentucky, just won a stakes race, so they are saying WTF?
Its their money being paid for the entry fees and I don't really see who it hurts or why its a federal issue. Every year in the Derby horses are entered who have no shot, and a couple of years ago one of them won!!!

they own the horses, do what they want with it.
they want to get their as* kicked by Bernardini, its their choice and their money.
Im the last person who would tell someone what to do with their horse(remember the whole property rights discussion?).
Im the guy who said they should keep running bluesthestandard as long as its profitable to do so.
