Sheriff Clarence Dupnik took up the gauntlet immediately following the shooting and represented himself and his department as being in charge of law enforcement. However, he did a good bit of politcing, as well.
Interesting Op Ed today in the NYT's - giving equal time to pro and con opinion about Clarence.
