He ran a tremendous Derby, a very respectable 2nd to Rachel in the Preakness (a very exciting race), and was a very close 3rd to Dunkirk in the Belmont. Fair to say that had he not been a gelding he may have been retired to stud at 3, and would have garnered more respect and been held in higher esteem, but such was not his fortune. Each time I looked forward to his races this year was ultimately a disappointment. But to watch him in the paddock and in training you'd never know it.

Ain't it the truth. I just feel he has more to offer in some capacity, and hope he gets a chance to shine again.
