SUN - Churchill Downs (PK6 $53k C/O); Golden Gate (PK6 $350K C/O)
I missed a golden opportunity for a large score yesterday after being knocked out in the last leg of the Pick 6 at Aqueduct. I entered the last leg with two chances #5 Winning Token (6.40-1 at post time) and #13 Kill the Joker (2.10-1 post time favorite) and the projected payoffs would have been $50,664 and $37,998 respectively. Gary Contessa’s runner #1 Rotten to the Core took the finale by a nose and the Pick 6 sequence paid $25,332. It also cost me the Pick 4 as well.
The consolation tickets came back a very light $55.00 due to many 5 out of 6 tickets only missing with Jersey Town ($71.50) in the G1 Cigar Handicap. I have to admit that I favored the other part of the entry in the Demoiselle and benefited when Dixie City won.
The day wasn’t a total disaster as I was able to connect with a few exactas throughout the day at Aqueduct and Churchill Downs. Today, we have a carryover at Churchill Downs ($53K – Mandatory payout – Closing day) and Golden Gate Fields ($350K).
