Yeah, and the joke in Hollywood after she got nominated for the Oscar was that if she won it, the editors of the film were going to accept the award.
Never doubt the power of the editor to make the performance seem better than it was...
Though I did like that movie and yes, I liked her in it. Though I would have given the Actor Oscar to Sean Penn for "Dead Man Walking" and not to Nicholas Cage.
