He battled head-to-head with the Pletcher thing all the way around. Obviously the wise guy outlook would be to say that he was running on a crazy-fast speed-favoring course and therefore the performance wasn't as impressive. I'm not buying that - all you have to do is watch the race to realize it was a very big run with things against him.
