General Assembly was my pick that year, too.
Just to clarify on an earlier post I might have misinterpreted,
Spectacular Bid was not a son or grandson of Secretariat.
That said, I cherish Spectacular Bid's Florida Derby that I saw from the track apron at the finish line.
That finish line win is one of the photos on the wall of this sports viewing room.
The greatest example of a horse pulling a jockey to victory that I have ever seen in my years of racing fandom.
