9/16: Belmont Park (1st-9th)
Fun afternoon of action Wednesday at Belmont with a number of well-priced winners driving the solid returns. While Fourth Chapter isn't a win machine, she was certainly the right price in the opener at a bulbous 8-1+, and her $18.80 mutuel started the day nively. After Pletcher-Repole chalk Flying Train ran off by herself in the 2nd ($5.00), the Pletcher-Gulf Coast overlay ($16.20)Bonavento juiced the tote generating the $119.50 early P3 trio of "Next Best" second choices. When top tab Best Value Lady Whimsical, well bred for her turf move, front-ended the MSW 5th, another generous P3 of $167.50 came back. Gambits utilizing singles didn't work in either P4 on the day, but the good win prices and P3's carried the day and made for a brisk afternoon of action. Hope you did well... Thursday again offers a fun card at Belmont, and there is a $42k carryover at Fairplex if the bullring is to your liking!
