I find the Koran-burning pastor issue fascinating because it doesn't neatly divide people into their usual ideological camps.
You have people on the right who support him because they vehemently oppose the mosque in NYC specifically and Islam in general. But you have other people on the right who oppose him because Petraeus (and others) say it jeopardizes troop safety.
Then on the left, you have those that oppose him because they see it as just more right-wing, anti-Islam nonsense. But you also have those on the left that support him because they don't particularly enjoy the military telling people when it is okay for people to exercise their rights.
Interesting issue.
