You won't find anyone that holds McNabb in higher regards than I do, but there is more than meets the eye with his INT per PASS ATTEMPT stat. He never really tried to thread the needle with the majority of his passes. If he thought there was a chance of an interception, he'd miss his target by a mile (short or long). Some faulted him for that, some praised him for rarely turning the ball over. I think Kolb will take more chances with the football, and it remains to be seen where it takes us. There will be a learning curve, for sure, but I'm inclined to see how his style meshes with these receivers before I label the McNabb trade a heady one or a bone-heady one.

One HUGE difference that we'll see is that Kolb will get rid of the ball when under pressure, whereas McNabb tried to extend the play with his body strength, almost always shrugging off first contact. That was my biggest peeve with him, instead of unloading the ball just before he is rushed out of bounds, he'd hold onto it and take a 4 yard loss, then laugh it off.
