The Stewards have approved an amendment to the Stewards Instruction 1(1)(i) to remove the disparity of compulsorily retirement age so that horses from both hemispheres will be allowed to stay in training before they reach the age of 11.
As a result, Owners of the following four Northern Hemisphere horses which were compulsorily retired at the end of last racing season have been offered the option to keep their horses in training until 31 December 2010, i.e. the day before they turn 11.

PACIFIC ALLIANCE
SUPER IDEAL
WHATABOB
The Club has subsequently been advised that all these horses, except SUPER IDEAL, will continue to stay in training. As such, the retirement notice for CONNOISSEUR'S LOVE, PACIFIC ALLIANCE and WHATABOB published on 8 July 2010 is now cancelled.
