i did some more googling this morning before i left for work. apparently the wahabi sect is the ultra-whacky branch of islam; not the sunni or shiite. its founder said no changes are acceptable, since the third century is what i remember it said...yeah, they flow with modern times.

anyway, does the sect make the terrorist, or is the terrorist attracted to an ultra-conservative view? i think it's the latter-whacko people finding a whacko viewpoint to justify their horrible behavior.
