Exactly.
And it is seems fine to some when people say stuff like "speed up the process" or "limit the appeals," but when you see the staggering number of people who have been convicted and sentenced to death row....only to be proven innocent later, that gets harder and harder (for a thinking person) to say. The appeals are there for a reason, and I firmly believe that as long as the death penalty exists, it is a
good thing that the process takes as long as it does.
