Feel free, Ateam and thanks!
You know, I'm really enjoying this now. I visit and post on several message boards, and on each one, there is at least a couple of people who's utterly nonsensical ravings about Bernardini make me want to either

or

.
One poster on another board said that Bernardini didn't impress him and pointed out that he was sweaty after the race and so the race clearly took a lot out of him......That may have been my favorite anti-Bernardini post of all time. I saw him after the race - yes, he probably didn't have a good deoderant on since the colt had some visible droplets of sweat.

He was great in the winner's circle, tossing his head and not standing still ; colt crackled with energy. I know we haven't yet had to see it on the track, but I really do think this is an ultra-competitive horse. A local racing writer (NY Newsday) called Bernardini fierce, and I think that is a good description. By the way, he apparently came out of Gold Cup in fine fettle, bouncing around like he'd never run - I love to read that. He's got a wonderfully strong constitution.
