I was on track last year at the Breeders Cup and I asked at the information window if a bet on the field was the cumulative number of wins by all others, or if it was wins by any other individual rider. I was told it was each individual rider's wins, not cumulative, so I bet $20 on Leparoux, who of course won three when no one else won more than one, but the bet paid off on the field, which had more cumulative wins. I'm still mad about it and hope that they fully explain what the field bet entails this year.
