A deeeeep closer like Circular Quay would seem to be at a disadvantage, even though the distance looks okay for him. Have to watch the races on Friday to see if the 'old wisdom' is still useful.

I'm a big fan of CQ, but I really don't expect him to win on Saturday. Mainly because of the surface, but the track configuration could play a role too. I just hope they keep him wide so he doesn't get into too much trouble.(tough to do though when he's got the 1 hole!!) Like others, I'm avoiding betting anything on the new polytrack... for now at least.
