I have heard it argued that Little Current could have won the Triple Crown. Little Current had the misfortune of running in the 100th Kentucky Derby - a year when 23 horses ran in the classic. The Biggest Kentucky Derby field ever. He ran into traffic and was unable to use his powerful closing kick... I'm not going to say that Little Current deserved to win the crown but people (Jon White of HRTV included) think that Little Current could have won... Not should have but could have... Any thoughts?
