Any notion that this cemetery is somehow more sacred than the others is not only absurd; it is on its face ahistorical. The idea that a president is required to lay a wreath there on Memorial Day also has no valid traditional basis.
As recently as 1993, a U.S. president left office without having done so once. His name is George H.W. Bush, and his patriotism and his bravery in wartime are beyond question.
and exactly what does laying a wreath have to do with an oil spill? the 'obama can do no right' has gotten as old as the 'bush can do no right' claptrap.
