From what I read this morning, the navy sec position was never offered. But these stories tend to enter the mythical prettyu quickly, so that little bit of fiction will never go away completely. This story is being blown out of proportion. Of course the dem party will want to choose their noms, so they turned to party leadership to get sestak to serve in another capacity.
