Fat - My point was that his style is much closer to the pace, especially going 5.5F he gave the horse no chance to be involved. The 2 and the 4 were both decelerating rapidly and the 5 was full of run late. It isn't the fact that if he's asked on the turn, he's bouncing (I agree) it is that he doesn't have an explosive final kick and is successful pressing, not closing, especially at 5.5.

the race was over for him way before the turn.
