He's Mormon, btw.
That doesn't seem the reality to me. Obama ran on health reform, he won by the biggest Democratic electoral majority in 40-50 years.
The public clearly DOES want health reform, and according to the polls, the public wanted more than we got, such as a public option.
All we got so far, really, are finally some decent consumer protections. We didn't even get as much as Nixon and Reagan proposed for health reform. We really didn't get much "health reform" at all.
Hopefully that continues in the future, however.

obama ran on a lot of platforms, one of which was health reform. i can't remember ever agreeing with a pol on all his ideas, and i doubt you'd find that everyone who voted for obama did so because of health reform. the fact he won doesn't give him carte blanche to do whatever the hell he wants, while using 'i won' as an excuse, does it? those we send to d.c. are there because we can't all go vote on everything-it doesn't mean they can go up there and do whatever they wish. but then, if they do, they get booted out-hopefully. but i know many times you've said he ran on that, therefore we got what we asked for. i find that to be untrue. many may have voted for him due to other issues, and hoped like hell that health care would get left alone-or at least that he wouldn't continue the spending ways.
taxes soon to go up, there was yet another article yesterday with dire warnings about our economy and the massive, and growing debt. either things get cut, or taxes go up-or a combo of the two.
