Chistoph Waltz I believe should and will win Best Supporting Actor for Inglorious Basterds. I wish I had seen more of the nominated films and performances this past year, I am lagging behind. Up In The Air is next on my list of films I want to see. Jason Reitman is one of the best young filmakers working today, I have very much enjoyed his previous pictures, and look forward to this one and others to come.

no one is a "close" 2nd to bridges for best actor. he's the single if you're trying to hit an oscar pick 6.
it's an interesting year though. if they got rid of the gender concept, he might not have been nominated at all for best performance. the women are unbelievably strong this year. i don't remember there ever being a better set of nominee's top to bottom for lead actress. i can't imagine any of them losing.
