My take is Ovie is the best player in the league right now. There is no one on his level. He might go on to be one of the greats of all time. I have never seen a player with the combonation of skills that he has, he is truely amazing.
Jagr is still good but well past his prime.
As far as the US goes, they are just a very solid
young blue collar team. Many of them are grinder types and they don't get the all star bids like the sniper/scorer types that seems to fill the rosters of the other powerhouses. It's like the whole team is a collection of 3rd liners. But this isn't a popularity contest either and the US guys are playing hard every shift. But they better tighten up on defense, or they are going to be in trouble.
