There are many people who indulge in illegal activites in their personal lives, for some its recreational drug use, drinking and driving, or just speeding on the road. I am not saying any of these things are right, but what I am saying is that your right to earn a living should not hinge on what you do when you are not at your place of employment.

I say if the guy is passing the drug tests, which sems to be the CHRB's big issue with him, then let him ride. Most of these other conditions the CHRB has tried to levy on P VAL are unconstitutional, regardless if he agreed to them or not.

The other jockeys do not like him for one simple reason, he is better than they are. Meaning he gets the better mounts, which means less purse money for the other Jockeys. For any of those jokceys to have the nerve to say stuff like "I am worried about P VAL because he might be out there on drugs riding horses, making unsafe for me and the horses", is a joke. There are multiple jockeys on all sorts of diuaretics, speed, and other forms of weight control drugs just to trying make weight.

I am not a supporter of P VAL or the choices he has made over his career, but what I am a supporter of is a persons right in this country to earn a living. If the owners/trainers do not want to use him because of his history or the chance he relapses once again, then DO NOT PUT HIM ON YOUR HORSES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lets see once you loose so many brain cells you become a danger to others and considering he is not the only one out there he has other peoples lives in his hands and considering his past would you want to be in a pack of 10 horses with a guy that is possibly high on dope?
