Friday's Selections:

R1 - Oasis Star (alt; Prohibit), Sol De Abgra (alt; Judd Street)
R2 - Allybar, Presvis (alt; Zulu Chief)......... yes, I've picked every runner!
R3 - Anmar (NAP) (alt; Monte Alto), Raise Your Heart (alt; Emirates Champion)
R4 - Desuetude (alt; Star Crowned), Prince Tamino (alt; Asset)
R5 - Munaddam (alt; Imbongi), Summit Surge (alt; Ans Bach)
R6 - Soneva (alt; Aspectoflove), Zirconium (alt; Synergy)
R7 - Cat Junior (alt; Secrecy), Olympic Election (alt; Caliming Influence)
R8 - Art Of War (alt; Rocks Off), Beauchamp Viceroy (alt, Rockette)

Well, not sure about you guys, but I found this a real head scratcher. Very difficult indeed!

I'm going on the hype alone with Oasis Star, I know little about the form, but I do know about many of the others, who aren't that special....... so this one could be a cut above.

Presvis will be odds on, but it's doubtful if he's 100% yet and the slow gallop is almost certain. Allybar's best form has been from the front and he can dictate.

Anmar is my nap, I thought he looked special when winning so so easily at Kempton. His form previous was good at a high level and he appears to be best left fresh, hence the reason why he's been off a further 80+ days. Raise Your Heart had very good form in hot handicaps in Ireland and is full of heart, one doubt would be the dreadful last run over hurdles.

Desuetude is getting another chance after losing the jockey as the gates opened last week, good form in Australia and this isn't the best of races. Prince Tamino often crops up in races of this nature and I can see him going well at a nice price. I'm no fan of Asset and I think he'll let people down.

Munaddam was almost my nap (you watch him bolt in now). He always goes well after a break and is most consistent at this level on turf, the tapeta should hold no fears and is sure to go close off a fair mark at a decent price. Imbongi is yet to win in Dubai and is fairly high in the weights, I think Summit Surge who also goes well fresh and is very useful could be the one, but I'm taking a punt on Munaddam under ideal conditions at a bigger price.

Zirconium is meant to be the real deal and with the form of the De Kock horses, you'd think this is over before it's started, but she is better over further and only a couple of these are mile specialists. One of those is Soneva who has shown good form, is now with a very astute trainer, with Fallon up, she could win what could turn out to be a tactical bettle, but I have no doubt that Zirconium is the better horse.

Cat Junior has frustrated me more times than I can remember, but I know for a fact that both Brian Meehan and Jamie Spencer believe he is better than anything that Brian has trained. The mile trip could be his optimum. He's definitley of Gr1 class and if he trys his best, he will win - but that isn't certain to happen. Olympic Election is another South American Gr1 winner of turf, and will have a good shot and be over priced again, like Al Arab today. I'm concerned that the race Secrecy won easily last time wasn't a great race. He has ability, but he is taking on Gr1 quality horses here, and although he could be that good, I just can't be sure after what he's shown - He could be a handicap blot and win easily, but i'll let him ride here.

The last is a job for the lucky pin. All of them have ability but many, many quirks. It's all about which horse puts it in. Art Of War is better than anything when on song, and I'll take a punt that he's on a 'going day'. Beauchamp Viceroy is thoroughly exposed but very consistant in this sort of race and should run well yet again, but is vulnerable to an improver (of which there could be several) but like I say, this race is full of ?????????

Good luck all.
