Now they go into next season with just as uncertain a QB situation as they were in this year. They'll have to endure an offseason of "will Favre be back" and are no closer to knowing whether Travaris Jackson will be a serviceable NFL QB. I tend to think it was more a success than a failure since they made the NFC Championship but once they got Favre it was pretty much Super Bowl or bust so in that respect it was a failure.
Also, do people think Childress will/should be canned? I think he should be, that was one of the most poorly coached games I have ever seen, but I don't think he will be.

Huge success. Favre played great all year and forced a throw because they made a huge blunder with the 12 men in the huddle penalty. If they don't get that penalty, they don't throw on 3rd down, they pick up a couple yards rushing and have a manageable 45 yard field goal for a good kicker to go to the Super Bowl. Yeah it was a Favre moment but my hats off to him, he played great all year. If he stays, Minnesota will be right there next year.
That said, I have a bet with Kevin on the Saints to win the NFC from week 2 so I'm happy to collect and will be rooting for them in the Super Bowl.
