Now they go into next season with just as uncertain a QB situation as they were in this year. They'll have to endure an offseason of "will Favre be back" and are no closer to knowing whether Travaris Jackson will be a serviceable NFL QB. I tend to think it was more a success than a failure since they made the NFC Championship but once they got Favre it was pretty much Super Bowl or bust so in that respect it was a failure.
Also, do people think Childress will/should be canned? I think he should be, that was one of the most poorly coached games I have ever seen, but I don't think he will be.

A dismal failure.
They were the better team yesterday and basically gave the game away. Between the turnovers and the terrible coaching they pretty much gave the game to the Saints. I don't think he will be canned, but I think he should be. What happened there in the last 2 1/2 minutes is unforgiveable.
I thought Favre played great yesterday. Took a beating and made some great throws. As far as the pick goes, yes it was a bad decision but the terrible coaching put him in a spot where he needed to get them back into FG range. The guy was trying to make a play from a position that the conservative coaching (all of a sudden) and terrible penalty put him into.
