That said, track placement in the DRF is a big driver of handle, we see it here at LAD all the time. Should be it? No... but there's so much racing, they have to draw lines somewhere.

I have the last 4 Sat editions and FG was in all of them. Leaving them off this week seems insane. Capital tries to select the best 3 tracks to air after NY and since NY is dark, Fair Grounds will effectively be our "A" product tomorrow. It makes sense for it to be the "lead" track but we certainly won't see the handle on it that we should. In the past we have tried to arrange on air coverage to reflect what the
Form would show because placement in the paper does drive handle. Our am handicappers will be spending time handicapping and talking about FG but when the bettor stops into the newsstand to get the paper for himself, he'll get nothing.
