Are you saying that Sidney's Candy and Samardo are not good horses since they lost first-time out at 5 1/2 furlongs to Tiny Woods? At this point I don't like Tiny Woods at all, but that doesn't lower my opinion of the other two horses at all. Neither one of those horses were fully cranked up for their debut. The fact that they lost to Tiny Woods at 5 1/2 furlongs first-time out is meaningless.

Both of the races that Sidney's Candy ran in were live races. Marcello came back and won an allowance race and then ran 2nd in a stakes race. Who's Up came back and won a stakes race. Indian Firewater came back and won. The Program came back and won. Those are just off the top of my head. I think there may have been another couple of winners that came out of those maiden races.
