I didn't realize this was old or a hoax. The article that this link refers to is from The Toronto Globe and Mail website, dated November 20th, 2009. There is also a link to some videos from CTV (I assume a mainstream Canadian TV station), that was aired on November 21st, 2009.
Perhaps I should have posted this link to the videos, so you could watch for yourself, then decide:
