I went to my Uncles funeral last fall and I didn't even know he was there until I saw the Marines lined up. They said he was involved in 5 invasions in the Pacific on a Destroyer Escort, no wonder he didn't talk about it. What a somber experience. One of my first bosses as a 17 yr old grocery clerk was a medic on D-Day Normandy. Freedom isn't free. My undying respect and gratitude to all service members past, present, and future.

I have my late Dad's medals and emblems hanging in my office from WW2..he served in France and Germany for 3 1/2 yrs.
And he was a bigger Liberal than me
