Meanwhile, the threat of us going to jail for not carrying car insurance is, alas, very real.
I'm sure Hasan in Texas will suitably fry in the electric chair of the most aggressive death-penalty state of the union. Whoops, no, he'll be tried in military court. Firing squad? What does our military use?
I am reminded of the brilliant mathematician John Nash, the paranoid schizophrenic made generally famous by the movie, "A Beautiful Mind". His fear of government plot, top-secret activity, and Russian threat; his imagining he was working for the CIA, etc. If Nash was experiencing that today, instead of his converting his office and a garage into a demonstration of his paranoid schizophenrenia (his cutouts, charts, etc) - he'd have an internet webpage and a few thousands "followers".
