I think its a stupid promotion. Horse racing doesnt provide short term profits as most people would like. The wizard probably HAD to make bets he normaly wouldnt make in order to show profits in short term. The problem with such handicappers is that, in thier buisness, they need to pick winners more than show profit to sell products they are pushing.

What they should have done was have a handicapping challenge of 10 handicappers and the bettors would bet on who would win.
