Does it matter? No, the vikes are winning and the team is moving the ball. Teams dont get credit for stopping one player. They get credit for stopping an offense.
The Packers defense fell woefully short of stopping the Vikings. When it mattered, they couldnt get off the field as evidenced by the long scoring drives.

It's called gameplanning. Their gameplan was to stop Peterson and make Favre beat them through the air. The gameplan worked. The problem was Favre played well and had his only mistake taken away by a phantom penalty. Plain and simple, when you commit all your resources to stopping the run you can get picked apart through the air if the QB has a good day.
100 yards is some magical number made up by the media cause it looks pretty when they add an extra digit. Peterson's yards per carry is far more significant. His YPC this year was 7.2, 6.5, 4.5, and then 2.2 last night. That is impressive. Last year he was under 3.5 YPC once, in a game in which New Orleans committed to stopping Peterson and make Gus Frerotte beat them which he did with 222 yards and no turnovers.
