The Right in this country may be somewhat out of touch with mainstream political thought but so is the Left. I think the mainstream probably have more comtempt for the far-left than the far-right.
I'm not a big fan of either Rush Limbaugh or Sean Hannity but I would take them in a second over the champion of the Left. The champion of the left (Gore Vidal) is a certifiable lunatic.
Here is a recent interview with Gore Vidal. This guy is completely out of his mind. Most liberals I know think this guy is some kind of genius. I think anyone that reads this interview will realize what a lunatic this guy is.
