So it's the first Sunday in Oct, which means it's Arc time.

Some crib notes:

Stacelita and the well-fancied Cavalryman have been added to the field for Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at a cost of 100,000 euros.

MICK KINANE believes Sea The Stars is as strong now as he has been at any stage this season as he bids for glory in Sunday's Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe.

"I've been to sit on the horse this morning and he's in good shape," said the 50-year-old jockey. "You would hope a few horses come out of the race to make it a handier field but we'll have to see. Tactically we'll just have to see what horses are running and look at the draw."

Sariska has not been added because of the prospect of fairly quick ground, while Alpine Rose was withdrawn.

A total of 24 horses remain in the prestigious event at the latest forfeit stage, with Fame And Glory one of six possible contenders for Aidan O'Brien.
