I realize it rains in Florida but when you RUN 1 or 2 turf races over the course of the entire summer, I begin to wonder. In fact, they've carded more turf races today than they, probably, ran all summer.
Of course, like NYRA, they probably figure that people will put up with this BS, and return to playing the track in the fall/winter, when there are less options to choose from. This is like NYRA taking races off the turf that people spent time handicapping.
Apparently, NYRA's handle has tumbled and, I suspect, CRC's will as well (it has already, significantly, given their betting issues.)
I've basically STOPPED betting NYRA and I've done the same at CRC (which used to be one of my favorite tracks). Plenty of other options out there: on or off season. No reason to put up with BS from incompetents.
Incorrectly run businesses typically don't last long in a fair market. Sooner or later, this will take hold in racing.
