No problems with that. But, i find it also interesting the name calling and when on the occassion that the Far Right is called out on something the typical response is to step up their attacks even more. The previous administration was one of arrogance and no compromise. Obama was elected with a huge majority and is trying to push thru an aggressive legislation. I think Obama has done a good job of listening to others and even appointing a few Republicans to his administration. The re-election of Bernanke was quite a surprise actually.
Anyway, my feeling is why do i want to be part of a party with the Religious Right in it.... I can flippantly say we suffered with 8 years of people like VP Dick and now the Republicans can see what it felt like now that Obama is in power. In reality, everything right now is talk and until legislation is passed everyone needs to calm down a little.

This just isnt true Paul. 47% of the countries voters voted against him. Because of the nuances of the electoral college it may have seemed like he won easily but the fact is that 6% is hardly a huge margin. I find it hard to believe that Democrats can say that this administration is not one of arrogance and non compromise. What exactly have they compromised on? Obama has hardly carried out any of what he said he would in terms of change in regards to politics. His tone setting "I won" comment hasnt been forgotten and has led to his energizing the opposing party. How quickly we all forget that what the right has been doing is directly out of the left's anti-Bush playbook.
As for the boards right slant I believe there are just as many democrats here than Republicans. There certainly were a whole lot more left leaning posts in the halcyon days early in the post election glow. I respect the views of many of the lefties here like BWS, GbBob, Dala, etc. Debating the topics is great. But it seems as though the left seems to take the knocks on their guy or his mistakes personally. And that is rarely the intent. Riot is another story all togther....
