That was more or less my point... Ruffian is hailed as the best there ever was in her gender and there's been a ton of pedigree discussion about how her sire, Reviewer, and his family are the "culprits". I was just bringing up the point that if you took Ruffian out of the equation, the family wouldnt be looked at as anything but "usual" in the soundness department.
