So, I agree with you about his singing voice(from about '75 on.) His dancing, and writing ability? Have no clue how you can say he didn't have massive ability in those 2 areas. Unless it's a country or rock act, if you want to make money in a concert tour, it's now pretty much a necessity to have complex dancing involved. You grew up in SOCAL. You know the local stations (2,4,5,7,9,11, and 13.) The only one this memorial service isn't on is 13.
