Mike, you're right about both...

Actually probably the biggest threat to the Yanks will be the White Sox if they make it.

The Twins have shown the last few years in the playoffs, they can't beat the Yankees.

The A's are always the hottest team in the 2nd half of the season, but they fizzle in the playoffs.

The Tigers are the unkown team, but they do have some veterans experience which could help in a playoff situation.

The Chi-sox (as much I hate them being a Twins fan), seem to have underachieved all year. If they do make it to the playoffs. They won the World Series last year with a bunch of returning players. So I'd say the Chi-Sox would be the Yanks biggest threat.

And as for the National League... the whole league does suck. The Mets might hang if Pedro is healthy, and a combo of Duque (who's $$$ in the post-season), Trachsel and Glavine pitch light's out ball. The big-game pitching experience is there. But are the Mets healthy and talented enough? No other team in the NL can hang with an AL team.
