That ball was smoked...Pierre got to is so quickly he was throwing it back to the infield before Spillborghs even got to 3rd base. Pierre could have rolled the ball to home plate and would have gotten the out. He could have underhanded it to the center fielder and the center fielder would have relayed the throw to get him out. That would have been the worst 3rd base coaching in the history of the game sending him home there. They had ZERO chance of scoring on that hit. Zero.
