If they can't simply say "the filly returned home lame" like anyone else would do, I think that shows that they cannot cope with the amount of horses under their 'care'..... if you can go as far as calling it care.
You don't, all of a sudden produce a full article a week after the race. Anyway, she was injured in a piece of work, but once again they are covering themselves.
'they' as an organisation are clueless. They must be to plough so much money into it and come out with a negative return every year.
I wonder how many billions they will spend on yearlings this autumn, and I wonder what percentage of them we will see on the track running in the royal blue silks. I think it's currently about 15%!
Each week, Mark Johnston will be running a 3 or 4yo in a maiden somewhere and the first line of the write up reads "ex godolphin" or "expensive pruchase never made the track for godolphin"
Ok, it's their money and they can spend it as they like, but it's quickly putting people off buying yearlings and selling them to Darley! It's putting people off racing. When Canford Cliffs destroyed the field in the coventry people weren't saying "wow, what a performance", instead we heard cries of "please god don't let godolphin have him" and I'm not exagerating that one little bit. That is how fed up people are of this joke outfit.
